NAPLES, Fla. (May 29, 2014) - Mix 104.7 FM is bringing Ohio-based bands O.A.R. and New Hollow to perform at Mercato on Friday, June 6 starting at 7 p.m. The concert is sponsored by the newly opened Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern, due to hometown ties to both musical groups.

O.A.R band members, attending Ohio State University at the time, released their first album, The Wanderer, and stayed together throughout college. Recording two additional albums before leaving Columbus, the band began pursuing their musical dreams full time in the summer of 2001. New Hollow, cited as one of the “Bands To Watch For in 2013” by Billboard was formed in New Albany (Columbus), Ohio. Rusty Bucket was founded in Columbus, OH in 2002.

O.A.R. is promoting their newest album, The Rockville LP, available in stores on June 10. The concert is free of charge and takes place on the lawn across from Silverspot Cinema. A portion of the proceeds from beer sales will benefit The Naples Art Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating The von Liebig Art Center since 1999. Additional beverages and food from Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern and other area restaurants will be available for a charge.
