Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern To Open November 8 In Gahanna

Team of Rusty Bucket veterans to lead 13th location; fundraiser for Gahanna schools planned

Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern’s seventh Columbus location will open November 8 in Gahanna. The restaurant is located in the rapidly growing destination of The Commons at Clark Hall on the corner of North Hamilton Road and Granville Street. The Gahanna location is the thirteenth location for the restaurant company, which also will open a location at Easton Town Center in the spring of 2013.

The new location will be run by a veteran Rusty Bucket team. General Manager Bill Everett of Dublin, will transfer from the Dublin location to lead the Gahanna restaurant. Kitchen Manager Mike Unnone of Pataskala, Dining Room Manager Jessica Martina of Columbus and Dining Room Manager Ryan Tulino of Grandview are transferring from the Lane Avenue Rusty Bucket. Assistant Kitchen Manager Nate Kyler of Powell joins the company from Dublin Village Tavern.

On November 7, Rusty Bucket Gahanna will hold a pre-opening, charity fundraiser for the Gahanna-Jefferson Education Foundation (GJEF). GJEF was created a decade ago to provide a special community focus on education by funding innovative projects and enhancing academic programs through grant-making that goes beyond the traditional expenditures of the school district. To date, GJEF has awarded more than $400,000 in grants and an additional $150,000 in donor-designated projects and scholarships.

Rusty Bucket in Gahanna is a 4,535 square feet space, with total interior seating for 175 guests and an additional 60 guest seats on the all-season patio. It boasts a large patio with fire pit for an outdoor dining experience for guests.

Rusty Bucket Gahanna has a “video wall” featuring four screens that can be used separately or simultaneously, overlooking the large bar and bar area. The dining area has a multi-sided fireplace and modern, comfortable furnishings in a style that is similar to other recently remodeled Rusty Bucket locations. A private dining room seats up to 28 people; ideal for post-game or sports team celebrations and community events or meetings.

“Gahanna-area residents can now enjoy an exceptional dining experience without leaving the community,” said Gary Callicoat, president and founder of Rusty Bucket. “Expanding our Columbus Bucket family to Gahanna allows us to be a neighborhood destination for families, professionals and anyone looking for outstanding comfort food and drinks in a fun, casual environment.”

The Gahanna location features Rusty Bucket’s Artisan Pizza, which is offered at the six other Columbus locations, along with Daily Blue Plate Specials and Daily Drink Features from the fresh bar. In addition, the Gahanna Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern has an expanded draft and craft beer list, recently nationally recognized by Cheers Magazine for the Best Beer Program. Rogue Draft Root Beer is featured as well. The restaurant also offers its gluten-friendly menu and a kid’s menu with a variety of appealing choices.
