Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern Evolves Menu, Unveils New Items
Company launches new food and beverage items in all Columbus and Cincinnati locations
 
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Recognized for its chef-inspired, made-from-scratch American cuisine and beverage, Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern recently announced it has evolved its menu, adding several new food and beverage items and updating the menu design and copy. Menu items are available at all 10 central Ohio and all three Cincinnati locations. The new menu will be introduced company-wide by April 20.
 
“At Rusty Bucket, we are continuously reviewing feedback from associates and guests – and we’ve taken their input to heart – adding new beverage and food items to our menu, including a shift to introduce new plant-based and vegan options,” said Gary Callicoat, president, Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern. “From the Brussels Sprouts to the Chicky Chicky Bowl to the Vegan Fried Rice Bowl, there’s something for everyone on our new menu.”
 
In addition to guest feedback, Rusty Bucket is always looking ahead at “what’s next” in the food and restaurant industry. Corporate Chef Josh Yosick and other Rusty Bucket leaders traveled the country, visiting cities with lively food scenes to taste the current trends and try new dishes. They used this inspiration to create new innovative and fresh recipes that the brand has been testing in two central Ohio locations. After months of testing and compiling feedback from associates and guests to perfect each dish, the following items have been added to the menu:
 
Snacks
For guests looking to order something quick to take the edge off while waiting for friends or to satisfy the kids before the entrées arrive, Rusty Bucket has added a new snacks section on the menu that includes Salted Edamame, BBQ Pork Rinds and Sliders. Sliders can be ordered individually so guests can order just one or as many as they would like.
 
Appetizers
Guests can enjoy three new appetizer offerings including Brussels Sprouts tossed in parmesan and lemon aioli; Buffalo Cauliflower roasted with toasted panko, blue cheese and celery; and Pierogis featuring cheese and potato dumplings with polish kraut, garlic cream and bacon butter.
 
Power Bowls and Pastas
More Americans are enjoying the flavor of bowl-style meals and many are eating a vegan diet. To stay ahead of the trend, Rusty Bucket has added:
 
  • Chicky Chicky Bowl served with herbed chicken, kale, farro, pickled carrots, curried cauliflower, marinated tomato and beets, pine nuts and goat cheese.
  • Vegan Fried Rice Bowl served with cauliflower rice, peppers, kimchi, corn, bean sprouts, carrots, broccolini and soy. For an additional charge, a sunny side up egg can be added for an extra punch of protein.
  • Baked Rigatoni, which is also available in a gluten-free option, features crushed meatballs, tomato ragout, whipped ricotta, mozzarella and basil.
 
Entrees
Rusty Bucket is known for their signature sandwiches and artisan pizzas and they’ve added two new options that will be a hit with guests: Wild Mushroom Pizza and the El Cubano sandwich.
 
Desserts
Guests with a sweet tooth won’t be disappointed with the new dessert, S’mores Brulee. A fun twist on the classic campfire s’more, this dessert features chocolate custard over crushed graham cracker, toasted marshmallow fluff and a Hershey garnish.
 
Beverages
Rusty Bucket offers an award-winning beverage program and is known for its unique partnerships with Woodford Reserve and Old Forester. Callicoat and the team regularly travel to Kentucky to sit with the Woodford Reserve and Old Forester Master Distillers and personally blend each unique barrel blend that guests can only find at Rusty Bucket. These exclusive blends are used in two new cocktails now available at all Columbus and Cincinnati locations:
 
  • Bourbon & Chill – Woodford Reserve Gary’s Blend Personal Selection, St. Germain, chamomile simple syrup, fresh lemon, mint
  • Mustache You a Question – Old Forest Bucket Private Selection, Sweet Vermouth, Amaro, smoke cinnamon bitters
 
Raving fans will also notice that the printed menu has a new look, changing from a trifold to a double-sided menu with lively and fun copy that evokes the Rusty Bucket brand attitude, such as renaming popular menu items to “Ma! The Meatloaf!” and “Hoosier Daddy Pork Tenderloin.”

Rusty Bucket is an ideal neighborhood gathering place to enjoy happy hour or a night out with friends and family. Happy hour is available Monday-Friday from 3-6 p.m. In addition to its daily drink features, which includes Whiskey Wednesday, the Bucket offers $1 off all beer, wine and cocktails. Guests can also enjoy half-priced artisan pizzas and appetizers and $5 Juicy Lucy Burgers.
 
Rusty Bucket also has a great brunch available on Saturday and Sundays featuring dishes, including: Chicken and Waffles, Braised Short Rib Hash, Breakfast Burrito, Donut Holes and more. A gluten-free friendly menu is also available with several options such as Baked Penne, Green Chili Burger with gluten-free bun, Chicky Chicky Bowl, Strawberry Cheesecake and more.
