Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern Joins Kids LiveWell Program to Highlight Commitment to Children’s Healthy Eating

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern announced today it has joined the National Restaurant Association’s Kids LiveWell program, a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to help parents make the healthful choice the easy choice for their children when dining out.


“We are committed to providing healthy and nutritious menu options for our youngest raving fans,” said Gary Callicoat, president and founder of Rusty Bucket. “Our team is excited to join the Kids LiveWell program to showcase our delicious kid’s menu items at all of our restaurant locations.”


Rusty Bucket’s Kids LiveWell main plate menu options include:


  • Grilled Fish – Grilled Atlantic cod served with carrots and 100 percent apple juice
  • Grilled Chicken Fingers – Served with a side of honey mustard sauce, broccoli and 100 percent apple juice
  • Kid’s Veggie Pizza – Six-inch spinach, tomato, mushroom and bell pepper pizza served with a side salad and 100 percent apple juice


In addition to nutritious entrée options, Rusty Bucket will offer additional side items, including broccoli, roasted carrots and a fresh fruit cup. Children also have the option to drink water or 100 percent apple juice.


Kids LiveWell menu options meet nutrition criteria based on leading health organizations’ scientific recommendations, including the USDA Dietary Guidelines, and are dietitian-approved.

The National Restaurant Association developed Kids LiveWell in collaboration with Healthy Dining, whose team of registered dietitian’s works with restaurants to identify and validate the qualifying menu choices. Participating restaurants and their qualifying items can be found on, and also via a free Kids LiveWell App in the Android Market and iTunes app store.
