RUSTY BUCKET OPENS NINTH CENTRAL OHIO LOCATION IN HILLIARD

Restaurant donates more than $2,800 from opening day to Hilliard Education Foundation

COLUMBUS (October 3, 2014):  Marking its ninth location in central Ohio and its 17th in four states, the rapidly growing Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern this week opened its newest location in Hilliard at The Market at Hilliard Gateway. Located at the corner of Cemetery Road and Britton Parkway, the 4,500 square foot restaurant has seating for more than 200 guests in a warm, inviting environment complete with a multi-sided fireplace, an all-seasons patio with a fireplace, and a large bar with 17 flat panel televisions, and one big TV that divides into four screens, that is sure to become a destination for sports fans.

“Central Ohio is where our roots are, and we couldn’t be more pleased to open our ninth location in the Hilliard community,” said Gary Callicoat, president and founder, Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern. “Our veteran management team and the more than 100 associates working at the restaurant look forward to welcoming local families, business colleagues, sports groups and other guests to enjoy our perfect combination of great food and terrific hospitality, all in a relaxing, fun and friendly setting.”

Rusty Bucket donated 20 percent of the Hilliard restaurant’s opening day sales, for a total of more than $2,800, to the Hilliard Education Foundation, which supports and enhances the education of all Hilliard City Schools students through funding support for educational activities and initiatives.

“On behalf of our foundation and the Hilliard schools, we thank Rusty Bucket for their support of education in our community,” said Rachel Heine, executive director, Hilliard Education Foundation. “Their generous donation will advance important educational programs, and we look forward to a long partnership with the company.”

“Rusty Bucket places great value on the importance of family, education and community, and we are committed to being active in the communities where we operate,” said Callicoat. “There is no better way for us to build strong foundations in our local markets than by supporting the education of the area’s children, who will be the future leaders in those communities.”

Rusty Bucket in Hilliard has seating for 212, including 74 seats in the bar, which is a perfect place for guests to relax after work or on the weekends, meet business colleagues, or catch part of a sporting event on TV. The dining area seats 78 and features a multi-sided fireplace and modern, comfortable furnishings with new interior finishes that are similar to other recently remodeled Rusty Bucket locations, with soft accents and a warm atmosphere. A private dining room seats a total of 24 guests to accommodate business, social and community gatherings. Garage doors in the restaurant open to an all-seasons patio with fireplace for a comfortable outdoor dining experience for guests.

Katie Belton, of Dublin, is serving as general manager of the Hilliard restaurant, and Brad Bidinger, a Hilliard resident, is serving as executive chef.

Rusty Bucket Hilliard is open for lunch and dinner daily and features the great menu selections that have made it a destination for families, sports fans and professionals alike. The restaurant offers a kid’s menu, a gluten-free friendly menu, as well as Blue Plate Specials available all day, a weekday happy hour and daily drink specials featuring house-made cocktails.
