Construction is wrapping up at the Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern at the Mercato in Naples. The deep-brown booths and brick walls emphasize the family atmosphere associated with the restaurant's vibe.
"We picked the center (Mercato) specifically looking at the neighborhood and where a lot of family events take place," said Bill Everett, the regional director. "We just think it's a perfect fit."
This is the restaurant's 16th location and the first Florida establishment for the Columbus, Ohio-based chain. It's grown a following for scratch-made dishes and handcrafted cocktails.
"We just find that there isn't a lot of people in our market making that type of food in the volume that we are," Everett said.
The restaurant features an indoor and outdoor bar, and serves its signature bourbon, called Gary's Private Selection, created by founder Gary Callicoat.
On May 8, it will open to the public. Rusty Bucket is located at 9110 Strada Place, Suite 6135, and seats 150 inside and 75 on the large patio. For more information, visit myrustybucket.com.
