HOURLY FUTURE LEADER PROGRAM

At Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern, we strongly believe in promoting from within.  80% of our current managers started their careers in management as hourly associates.  Promotions are chosen based on their involvement in our Future Leader Program which teaches them understanding of our overall operations, leadership skills and the ability to say ‘the answer is yes what is the question?’.

The future leader program is designed to allow our associates time to develop.  The length of the development is intended to assist associates with little or no previous management experience the time to learn and gain the necessary tools to be successful in their next role as a manage. Each associate will continue to work their hourly position while training to be a future leader. During their time as an hourly associate they will continue to develop themselves through working with their management team. The management team in their restaurant will act as the Future Leader mentor by training them in the skills necessary to manage people and a business.

The Future Leader Program is a very unique benefit to many associates interested in growing in this industry. Traditionally, their time spent as a future leader is very self driven and the length of time to develop into a manager could run between 3 months to one year to complete.
